The Vacancy
Dean Close School are looking to appoint a new Non-Residential Matron to support our House parents in one of our Boarding Houses. This is a part time role, working 22 hours per week and is during term time.
Our Matrons play a vital role within our boarding houses and are the first point of contact for our pupils who need assistance. You will be fully involved in the running and management of the house alongside our House Master or Mistress. Other roles and responsibilities include:
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a real passion for supporting children and young people in a boarding environment. Experience of working within a boarding school would be beneficial and It is important that the matron can establish a friendly rapport with the pupils to increase the homely feel of the house and to be available as a listening ear whilst upholding the rules of the house and school
