Dean Close School are looking to appoint a Health Care Assistant to join our school. This is a part time role, up to 31 hours per week, working 34 weeks per year. The salary on offer is depending on experience.

We are looking for a Health Care Assistant to working within our Health Centre looking after our students aged 2-18 years old. We are looking for experienced candidates, however, having an awareness of supporting and assisting young people would be advantageous.

The role and responsibilities of this position are to include:

  • To help the Health Centre Manager ensure the smooth running of the Centre
  • To be willing to carry out simple clinical tasks such as taking observations and dispensing medications
  • To escort pupils to appointments as required.
  • To hold a valid first aid certificate (training can be organised) and be willing to administer first aid as necessary.
  • To participate in the care planning process
